DVEO (Computer Modules Inc)

In 2010 LSI did a Pivot and got out of the Deep Packet Inspection and video business.  I started doing some freelance consulting on video encoding and compression.  At this time Les Zoltan at DVEO had a customer who needed a custom solution built.  Les contacted me to help design and bring to market.  This became the Multistreamer, Gearbox, Proxicaster and Delay Server line of business.

I joined as VP of Business Development and Product Management.  I was responsible for design, roadmap & development (Product). Along with building partnerships and channels. (Business Development and Partnerships)

Partnerships: with RealNetworks, Geniatech, Dune HD, Amino STB, Minerva, Roku, Beenius

Channels: Satellite Engineering Group/ TVC, Diversified, Realnetworks

Customers: Sinclair, Fox, TimeWarner, WarnerBros, NBC, Service Electric, Petrobras, NASA

Went from $0 in revenue to $20 Million in sales in 2014.

Wrote 5 articles for Streaming Media and others

Presented at NAB, Streaming Media East, Streaming Media West, Video Expo, DVExpo, IBC

Led integration of development with Real Networks in USA & China.

Became industry leader in Adaptive Bit Rate encoding.  First to offer Push and Pull HLS to CDN’s and via FTP.  Adopted quickly by Edgecast, Bitgravity and Akamai.  One of the first companies to test HEVC and a variety of Adaptive Bit rate codes and protocols.
